It does what it says, it keeps your chain from dropping. It's fairly quiet, as compared to others that I previously tried. You'll barely notice any additional drag, but you will notice how much quieter your bike is through the techy and crunchy stuff. No more chain slap!! The only downside is that getting your chain back on, can be a chore...like when you want to service the cranks, or bottom bracket.
