This Soma replacement part is a good way to clean up the appearance of an otherwise uncluttered build. An existing threadless head stack can be eliminated by the clamp and lower riser section integrated into the "High Rider" stem. I am using on a classically styled upright city bike with internal gearing that benefits from the more traditional appearance. Very nice quality of construction and finish work. Soma's version includes bar shims to mate with "old school" diameter bars (an add on for the V.O. branded model)
