Velocity CliffHanger 700c Disc Clydesdale Wheelset: The CliffHanger is one of our toughest wheel options, specifically designed to take some of the harshest conditions. It falls into its own category, and can fill a spot in almost all applications of use, from loaded touring, recumbent, 29'er, 26" ATB, tandem and polo wheels.
With a plethora of sizes and spoke drillings available, the possibilities are only limited to your imagination of where these wheels will take you. This versatile rim can be built into the perfect wheel where maximum strength and durability is your first choice. Each wheelset will come with the properly installed Velotape rim tape, which can be used with rims, or in a tubeless tire set up.
After factoring in a riders weight and gear, we suggest for individuals between 200 lbs to 229 lbs we recommend a front and rear spoke count of 32 each; for individuals between 230 lbs and 259 lbs, a front and rear spoke count of 36 each; for individuals between 260 lbs and 300 lbs we recommend a front spoke count of 36 and a rear spoke count of 40.
